Our Story
EIG Insights began with a shared vision to transform how Christian nonprofits measure and communicate their impact. In 2022, Al Mueller, founder of the premier philanthropic advisory firm, Excellence in Giving, met Kate Williams-Whitley and was immediately impressed by the caliber of her work. As the Vice President of Research at one of the world's largest nonprofits, Kate had built innovative evaluation systems that provided the kind of rigorous, actionable data major donors were demanding. For years, Al had been grappling with a persistent challenge: philanthropic donors hesitated to give when nonprofits couldn't demonstrate their effectiveness and cost-efficiency. Kate’s expertise in evaluation and program-building was the missing piece.
In February 2023, Kate joined Excellence in Giving to lead a new division focused on helping Christian nonprofits assess and communicate their impact. Over the next year and a half, the EIG Insights division developed and refined its offerings, working closely with organizations to ensure their programs were achieving their intended outcomes and equipping them with the data to inspire greater generosity. The demand was undeniable—nonprofits needed better ways to evaluate their work, and donors needed clear evidence that their giving was making a difference.
As the division grew, so did the opportunity to serve more organizations with greater focus and independence. In late 2024, Al and Kate strategically decided to establish EIG Insights as an independent entity. As co-founders, they launched it as a joint venture, with Kate stepping into the role of President & CEO. On January 1, 2025, EIG Insights, Inc. officially launched—a firm dedicated to empowering Christian nonprofits with the tools and insights they need to maximize their impact and inspire confident giving. Today, our team has grown as we continue our mission, helping organizations measure what matters and tell their stories in ways that drive and fund meaningful change.
